Aprons, aprons and more aprons!!! This is the final result of a renewed love of mine. After trying to decide on a theme for a girls night out, I somehow feel in love with the idea of making aprons. I am not sure why I love them so much. I hardly have worn an apron. There is just something about them that brings back memories of my childhood. I can visualize my grandmother cooking over the stove. So, aprons had become the theme of "girls night out".
I quickly enlisted the help and knowledge of my wonderful friend Dot. It has been years since I have sewn a thing. Although I have a love for creating, I also have a love for measuring, planing and mearuring some more. The day that we started making aprons was a refreshing and difficult time for me. I wanted to overthink everything. In the mean time, Dot would just snip, rip and ask "what do you think?". Boy did I have a lot to learn that day. Now I am embracing the fabrics and letting the aprons happen. I can't wait to share more of our creations.
